Is it time to start doubting Aaron Rodgers?

For years now, it as seemed that Aaron Rodgers was the most talented QB to ever enter the NFL. Everyone has looked at the QB as the guy in the NFL. Sure, Tom Brady is looked at as the greatest, but Aaron Rodgers has been recognized as the best in football by many for a few years now. However, I would like to raise the question: Should we start holding Rodgers accountable?

Yes, Rodgers has more precision on his passes than possibly any QB to ever grace a football field. Yes, Rodgers has some of the best arm strength of all-time. And yes, Rodgers is one of the best to ever play the game. But Rodgers won the Super Bowl in 2010, which was his third season as a starter. Since then? He has not reached the Super Bowl a single time. Aaron Rodgers is 5-6 in the playoffs since he won the Super Bowl, including going 0-2 in Conference Championships and has two first round exits. How great is a QB who cannot get it done in the playoffs? And while many may say that his teams haven’t been as good as his Super Bowl team, except in 2011 he went 15-1 in the regular season, just to lose in the Divisional Round in awful fashion and lost two playoff games in Overtime. People make fun with Tony Romo and how he performed come playoff time, well maybe it is time to take a look at Rodgers.

Of course, Rodgers being a Super Bowl Champion helps his case and he is a surefire Hall of Famer due to impressive stats, being a two-time MVP, and having that ring that eludes so many other QBs. Yet, he is now 34 years of age and is not getting any younger. This season he missed 9 games due to a Broken Collarbone, and as a fan of Rodgers, you know that injuries have haunted him at times, limiting the Packers and himself. Fear should begin to enter some Packer fans minds, as they saw Brett Favre win one earlier in his career then never see him able to win another again. It feels that the same situation is occurring with Rodgers, and while I love Rodgers, you can see that the clock is ticking on his time.

While I have been negative for a lot of this, I would like to look on the brighter side. The 2-Time MVP will be apart of maybe the most talented Packers team in a few years. With an excellent draft, selecting CBs Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson sure up the weakest parts of their defense in the past few years. While losing out on his favorite target in Jordy Nelson is not favorable, replacing him with
the younger, possibly more impactful Jimmy Graham could lead the Packers to big things on offense. I am not saying Aaron Rodgers is bad by any means, he is still a top QB in the highest level of play, but maybe, just maybe, it is time to worry a little bit.

Do you think I am crazy or on to something? Either way, let me know!

Fly Eagles Fly - The NFL's Next Dynasty

By: Scott Edwards Twitter: @scottedwards18 When looking at the NFL, you begin to think, who’s next? Who is the next team to become a dynasty? Tom Brady’s career is winding down, and it seems as though the Patriots empire is beginning to as well, so who else would be better suited to take the dynasty title at this point than the Eagles? The team that defeated the reigning dynasty of the NFL in the Super Bowl may be the team that can become the next one. The team is led by now 3 rd year QB Carson Wentz, who was bound to win the MVP award in his second season until a torn ACL ended his season prematurely. With numbers of 3,296 passing yards, 33 TD, and just 7 INTs, it is hard to imagine that Wentz will only improve has he gets older. Wentz is an unbelievable athlete who possesses pure accuracy, a beautiful spiral on his ball, and an absolute cannon for an arm. The arm-sleeved QB brings an undeniable swagger to the field game in and game out, leaving you in awe after see...

Russell Wilson – All Alone

By: Scott Edwards Twitter - @scott_edwards18 For years, at least it feels like, the Seattle Seahawks have been powered by their stellar defense and above average offense. And while Russell Wilson has been one of the top QBs in the entire NFL for years now, it seems as though he hasn’t had to carry the burden completely ever. Yet, after an offseason that included the departures of Sherman, Chancellor, Avril, and Bennett, it all but seems that this team will run through Wilson and what he can put together game in a game out. Those four defensive leaders are now gone, and Wilson faced that possibility last season when he was tasked with half a year without Seattle’s finest. But more than ever, it feels like Wilson is simply… All Alone. Woah. On offense, it has always been felt that Russell Wilson had to make magic with minimal weapons and an offensive line made out of sticks and bones. But it was always okay because you knew the defense could keep the other team in check u...

Future Faces Of The NFL

By Constantine Martin Twitter: @gusmartin321 Over the past decade, the NFL has made stars of many different players who play many different positions. The superstars of the NFL, however, have generally stayed the same, with a few new guys here and there who make a splash for a couple seasons. Generally, it is hard for a player, especially in a sport like football where the average career is only 3.3 years, to be highly productive long enough to become one of the premier cornerstones of the NFL. Special players like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Antonio Brown, Adrian Peterson and others throughout the past several seasons have reached a level of success and stardom seldom matched by even the most talented of prospects. But the NFL currently has a few young players on the rise who could be the headliners of the league for years to come, and below are my top five players most likely to become the next faces of football. 1. Carson Wentz This...
