It seems to be universally known now that Tom Brady is the
greatest QB in the history of football. Brady has done everything one could
imagine, and yet he keeps coming back for more. The reigning NFL MVP will enter
his age 41 season coming off an MVP and Super Bowl loss after he threw for 505
yards and 3 TD. Yes, 500+ yards in the Super Bowl and they lost. It appears
Brady continues to keep pushing forward, yet he has nothing else to possibly
prove. He is the leagues oldest MVP, an award in which he has won three times,
he has won five Super Bowls and has started eight, the most ever in both
instances, and he simply has won the most games of all time. Tom Brady has
nothing left to do in the game of football, so I ask, what does the G.O.A.T.
really have left in the tank?
All offseason, people began to raise questions if Tom Brady
may just call it after his record-setting performance in the Super Bowl and
skipping the OTAs this offseason for the first time. People thought and
wondered if Tom just was going to hang it up and call it. Well too bad for all
the other times around the league, TB12 is more than ready for this season:
So, to answer my question, it looks like plenty. Tom Brady
is simply amazing every single season he steps on the Gridiron, and while I do believe
he will be able to continue at a high level for even longer, I do feel as
though if the Patriots somehow manage to win the Super Bowl once again, Tom
will call it a career on that high note.
In a season where he will once again start off without his
favorite receiver in Julian Edelman, he has all of training camp and the preseason
to create a rapport with some of the new weapons like Jordan Matthews and 1st
Round RB Sony Michel, but will also have his old friends of Gronk and Chris
Hogan to help him throughout the season. The Patriots seemed to have went all
in last season with Cooks, Gilmore, and other additions, but with subtractions
of Cooks, Lewis, Butler, and Amendola, it feels as though this will be a season
in which the Patriots need Tom at his best more than ever. The tank must be
full for at least one more ride. And while asking a 41 year old to put the team
on his shoulders more than ever, this is Tom Brady. There is only one Tom Brady.
And before you try to show doubt, remember the wise words of
Von Miller. “He’s been great for a long time, and anybody that hates on him is
just a hater, because there’s nothing that you can hate on Tom Brady about”
said Miller. I could sum it up any better. Don’t show doubt, don’t give hate,
because that just makes you a hater, and Tom Brady thrives on the words of his
critics.
So, do you think TB12 has one more Super Bowl run in him? Or
do you think last season was his final super season?
Let me know!
Oh, and one last thing.... Let's GOOOOO!
